The sad thing is, is that consumers, they don’t really care so much about car insurance, and they don’t care because for the most, they don’t understand what car insurance is. And quite simply, what insurance is, is a way to avoid financial ruin. It’s simple. You pay into a policy, and if ever the case should come, that you should get into an accident, and God forbid there be any bodily injuries, but should there be any, and you be found to be at fault, there will be huge financial risks. And so what insurance policies do, is they sort of serve as a kind of buffer, as a kind of barrier or dampener that will absorb the complete brunt effect of the immediate impact (pardon the pun) of the accident’s full economic and financial costs. And that’s really the point of car insurance that most people fail to realize but do take for granted.
